RICH HOMETCHKO
—DIRECTOR OF QUALITY CONTROL
Rich Hometchko joined Wedding Architects in 1997. His considerable skills and dedication to detail have made successes of many of the firm's major commissions since that time.
Mr. Hometchko studied Architecture at the Boston Architectural Center, and has worked on both sides of the construction process, playing the role of designer and Owner's Representative at different times in his career
From 1980 to 1990, he worked for Jung/Brannen Associates out of Boston, and was heavily involved in several major commissions developed in partnership between Jung/Brannen and WSI in St. Petersburg, including the Barnett Tower, the St. Petersburg Times building, the Poynter Institute for Media Studies, the AAA Plaza building, and the Tramor Cafeteria. Mr. Hometchko moved to Florida in 1990, and some years later, these shared experiences were instrumental in bringing him aboard at WSI.
Since joining Wedding, Mr. Hometchko's work as Project Manager has included the
Dollinger Center at Canterbury School, the
Gills YMCA, the
Sophie Sampson Center of Hope, the
Tampa Baywatch Marine Observation Station, the
USGS Phase III lab and office building,
and most recently, The Windward at Harborage Marina,
a new condominium/commercial development in St. Petersburg. In January of
2006, Mr. Hometchko was named Director of Quality Control for the firm.
