Wedding Architects in the Community

Wedding Architects has been in business in St. Petersburg for over four decades.  We strive always to be a good member of the community that has nurtured our growth over the years, lending assistance wherever possible to good causes and organizations.  Some of our recent contributions to the community include the following:

Children's Cancer Center.  From 2003 through 2006, we adopted families with a child with cancer or a blood disorder, collecting Christmas gifts for the children and their families. Our efforts were coordinated by Diane Drutowski, aided by Sherry McDonald and Arlene Segars.  For more information on the Children's Cancer Center, please visit http://www.childrenscancercenter.org/ or http://www.childrenscancercenter.org/holiday_adopt.html.

Ronald McDonald House and the St. Petersburg Free Clinic.  As a member of the Leadership St. Pete Class of 2005, former partner Marcos Ibarguen chaired that year's Class Project, entitled Hands Across St. Pete.  The class raised nearly $40,000 in cash and in-kind donations in a unique two-charity effort.  The end result was an extensive renovation of the Ronald McDonald House's 25-year-old St. Petersburg facility and the installation of badly needed furnishings at the St. Pete Free Clinic Women's Shelter.

Ronald McDonald House.  This wreath, designed by Natalie Davis, Roxana Morzan and Jessica Williams, won first place in a Christmas 2005 competition benefiting the Ronald McDonald House.

This birdhouse, designed and built in the Deconstructivist style by former associates Gilad Livingstone and Mark Morse, was intended for a 2004 charity competition that was unfortunately cancelled at the last minute.  This whimsical piece remains on display in our office, awaiting a chance to be contributed to a worthy cause.

Children's Dream Fund.  In 2001 and 2002, we adopted migrant worker families with a seriously ill child at All Children's Hospital, collecting Christmas gifts for the children and their families.  Our efforts were coordinated by Diane Drutowski, with the help of Arlene Segars and Sherry McDonald.  For more information on Children's Dream Fund, please visit http://www.childrensdreamfund.org/ez/

City of St. Petersburg Homeless Task Force.  Our own Diane Drutowski served on the Task Force from 2001 to 2005.

Like any other firm, we certainly prefer to be paid for our work.  Nonetheless, WSI has on many occasions helped out non-profit organizations by contributing our design efforts pro bono or at discounted rates.  Some of the organizations and projects we have helped this way include:
